Abergavenny Community Centre – A place where nice things happen
We are situated in the old Park Street Infants School just off Park Street and Merthyr Road. It’s a beautiful old building and full of warmth and welcome. We have a wealth of community activities happening here – including Chair Yoga, Community Kids playgroup, a weekly two-course lunch and a buzzing coffee morning. We also have spaces to hire out for all kinds of activities, such as party hire, Art, piano lessons, exercise and wellbeing classes, and self-help groups. In addition, we provide discrete and non-judgemental emergency food support, including fresh and frozen produce and ready-cooked meals prepared in our commercial kitchen.
Our Centre revolves around people – visitors, volunteers and staff – and we strive always to provide a safe and warm space, good company and quiet support through all kinds of different activities. We want everyone in our local community (and beyond) to feel nurtured and included and we are delighted to welcome anyone and everyone, from the tiniest to the oldest and everyone in between! (We also welcome any companion animals that come through our doors.)
So please pop in and see us whenever you are passing – whether you want to help in our garden, try out our upcoming Family Cookery sessions, or simply have a cup of coffee and a chat. We are looking forward to seeing you!
