As well as the Festival markets with over 200 top-notch exhibitors across five locations (accessed on a stroller ticket) there’s a fabulous line-up of guest performers for the Special Events programme.

A New Way to Eat:

Hugh-Fearnley-Whittingstall-(1)One of the UK’s best-loved cooks, Hugh Fearnley Whittingshall, will be opening the festival with a talk on the Friday evening at the Borough Theatre. He’ll be talking to award-winning journalist Joanna Blythman about his new wheat and dairy-free book, River Cottage Light and Easy – Healthy Recipes for Every Day’.

A Taste of Morito:

Sam-and-Sam-ClarkHusband and wife team, Sam and Sam Clark joined forces to open Moro, a restaurant inspired by Morocco. Little sister Morito is an intimate tapas bar specialising in fast mezze-style dishes. Sam and Sam will be preparing a selction of Moorish tapas from their fourth book, Morito.

Thomasina-MyersDo you know your Ancho from your Jalapeno? Thomasina Miers certainly does. Join the Masterchef winner and founder of Mexican Restaurant Group Wahaca as she explores the world of chilli and cooks up warming dishes from her latest book, Chilli Notes.

When box office goes live on 16th July you can download a full diary at a glance to help you plan your visit. Special events start at £8. Stroller tickets for the main markets start at £6.50 and children with a paying adult get in for free. Now that’s something to celebrate.
